Navigate to the patent matter workspace in the iManage Next Gen Platform and select the specific documents the outside expert needs.
Only those documents are shared, keeping the rest of the matter workspace confidential.
Generate an external collaboration link for the selected documents. Set the permissions to match what the expert needs, for example view-only or edit access, and apply an expiry date so access closes automatically when the engagement ends. To allow the expert to co-author alongside your team, ensure edit access is turned on.
At any point, monitor access for the shared documents from the security button in the tool box or the right-click menu.
The iManage Next Gen Platform records every access, giving the firm a complete and timestamped log of who viewed or edited each document throughout the collaboration.
At any point, remove access from the outside expert for the shared documents, from the security button in the tool box or the document status column.
Remove external access quickly, if it is no longer required with the click of a couple of buttons.
