Select the search bar at the top of the iManage Next Gen Platform.
To run an exploration search, enter a natural language question rather than keywords. For example, ask "Have we advised on a cross-border merger in the energy sector before?" instead of searching single terms. The Ask iManage button will light up.
You get results based on context and intent, not just matching keywords, so you surface relevant experience you might otherwise miss.
Review the results. Ask iManage interprets the intent behind your question, returns an answer in natural language, and lists the source documents it drew from so you can verify the provenance.
You get a direct answer, not just a list of documents, with full visibility into the sources behind it.
Select any cited source to open the underlying document and confirm the context for yourself.
Review the files all within the platform without having to change screen.
Refine conversationally. Add a follow-up such as "Narrow this to the last two years" or "Only show signed versions".
The results adjust without you needing to restart the search.
To reuse a search, open your favorite and recent searches from the search panel in Ask iManage and select the one you want to run again.
