Introduction

Introduction to the iManage Records Manager Administrator program.

Module 1 - Introduction to iManage Records Manager

An introduction to the records lifecycle, the challenges it can present and how iManage Records Manager can address these challenges. Includes a deep dive into the structure and architecture of iManage Records Manager.

Module 2 - iManage Records Manager in the Cloud

Discusses the structure of iManage Records Manager in the iManage Cloud, including the key differences between cloud and on-premise deployments. Discusses the configuration of library manager for use in a cloud deployment, as well as the options available to connect to iManage Records Manager in the iManage Cloud.

Module 3 - Desktop Client for Records Managers

A deep dive to the desktop client for records managers and covers the user interface, dashboards available, access options and some common user customization options.

Module 4 - Managing Workspace Records

Discusses the iManage approach to Records Management and how the iManage Records Manager Policy Service is used. Also includes how to configure the Policy Service to map information from iManage Work to iManage Records Manager, and how it can be used to carry out records management activities in iManage Work.

Module 5 - Managing the Records Library

Deep dive into all the elements which make up the records library, including record types, retention policies, standards and templates, security policies and more. Also included is how these items come together to manage metadata in the File Plan.

Module 6 - Creating and Managing the File Plan

Deep dive into the elements and metadata that makes up the File Plan. Includes how to create Record Series and Categories,  manually and using Standards/Templates, and how to declare items in iManage Work as records. Also covers the various search options available in the Desktop Client for Records Managers.

Module 7 - Disposition Workflow

Overview of how features of iManage Records Manager come together to create a streamlined workflow for disposition, from events requiring approval, to end users using the IRM Web Client to approve or deny.

Module 8 - Managing Physical Records

Deep dive into the elements of managing physical records, including creating and managing physical locations, boxes and more. Also included is the circulation process and how to manage requests for records, including external warehouse requests, and how to carry out common tasks such as checking records in and out.

Module 9 - Barcode Scanning Operations

A deep dive into how the barcode scanning operations application can be used to support the circulation and management of physical records and boxes, including how to carry out common records management activities via the application.

Module 10 - Reports

An overview of the reports available out of the box in an iManage Records Manager deployment. Included is how to generate reports, eligibility reports, labels and actions which can be performed on reports, such as hot links, print and email attachments.

Module 11 - Working in the iManage Records Manager Web Client

A deep dive into the iManage Records Manager Web Client, including personalization and the use of dashboard charts to convey information at a glance. Discusses access options, between the iManage Work integration and the Stand Alone Client, and also the records management activities that can be carried out from the IRM Web Client.
